Your privacy is very important to me. Any personal information you give to me will be kept safe and secure and will only be used for the purpose it was given
This Privacy Policy explains to you the collection, use and disclosure ( if and when needed) of your personal data which may be collected from this website, via email correspondence, from phone calls as a result of this website or from any of my profiles online or the online contact form on this website, and is set out under the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation UK 2018 (GDPR 2018)

The type of information I collect, use and store includes:
Personal Information
Your first name and surname, phone number, email address, any general information pertaining to your reasons for requiring counselling and any other information you may willingly give during the use of the contact form on this website ,or during phone calls or email correspondence as a result from visiting this website.
Non Personal information
My website is hosted on the Wix.com which provides me with the online platform to display it. Data collected by the platform is stored by Wix.com data storage, databases and general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure services behind a firewall. Data they collect includes:
Cookie Information: A Cookie is a small block of data created by a web server which is placed on the user’s computer while browsing a website, and are used by most websites. They are used to track and save information about a user’s browsing session, to improve user’s experience of a website and to ensure the platform is secure and safe. There is a separate Cookie policy banner that will appear as you enter the website, which gives more detailed information which you can choose to accept or decline. We cannot identify you from this data.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information is Legitimate Interests. This is because I process your data in the ways you would reasonably expect , it is necessary to process it to achieve the result needed and to process it is in your interests since you have requested use of my services, and in mine to be able to deliver the service you require.
Sharing your information
Your confidentiality is non negotiable, and I will not disclose any information you provide to any third parties apart from the following:

If I am required to disclose information as requested by a subpoena from a Court of Law

For the prevention of certain crimes (this will be explained further during contracting before we start work together)

Where safeguarding of vulnerable people necessitates it
How I store your personal information
If you decide not to proceed with my services at the time of enquiry, I will hold your information for a period of one month in case you contact me at a later date, after which I will destroy and/or delete your data. If you would prefer me to delete your information more quickly, you can request that I do that.
If you do become a client your details plus any other notes made and forms signed during the course of our work will be kept securely as stated in the contract and GDPR Policy I will discuss with you during contracting.
When our work is ended or completed, I will keep your data in accordance with my insurance and membership body guidelines, which at present is 7 years, after which they will be destroyed and /or deleted.
I will take all reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of any information you provide, by keeping any paperwork in a locked safe or cabinet at a secure address. Paperwork signed in person at sessions will be transported in a lockable document holder. Any information stored on computer will kept in a password protected file or account on a password protected device that no one else has access to. The passwords will be changed regularly.
Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, I have one month to respond to you.
